Social field, which Irecoop Veneto has been working as a leader for more than twenty years for, can be described as follows:

Social entrepreneurship - defined as a professional, innovative, and sustainable approach to systemic change that resolves social market failures and grasps opportunities. Social entrepreneurship engage with a wide range of business and organisations models, both profit and non-profit, but the success of their activities are measured first and foremost by their social impact.

Disadvantaged people - the concept of disadvantage is quite wide that for it can be used to cover not only disabled or handicapped people, but also all other people who encounter systematic limitations/difficulties in achieving acceptable standards.

Social and Health Services - supplied by public organisations and quality certified private co-operatives and considered as a new approach toward health and quality of life to be pursued through innovative job profiles and adequate tools.

Irecoop Veneto has been performing the following activities becoming a key actor for Third Sector at national and European level.

Research and study on social system:
• to individuate co-operative enterprises and to survey their training and consultancy needs;
• about local and national territory to consider all occupational opportunities;
• about training and organisational needs of human resources.

Training:
• of all human resources involved in creation and managing of social enterprises;
• for job insertion in the field of Credit Union, Small and Medium Craft Enterprises, Environment and Gardening;
• both to create peculiar human resources and to better quality and care of services.

Guidance and advice:
• for starting and following up social enterprises;
• to support disadvantaged people and to help their job insertion and to make aware and sensitive labour market;
• to support organisations which need to empower services according to new Quality Certification Laws, specifically
  designed for Social and Health system.

Rete Elaicos: on the basis of knowledge and experience acquired through years both in social disadvantage and in the role of private and public institutions in social fields, Irecoop Veneto created a quality system’s net in this field named “Rete Elaicos”. Parties of this net are Third Sector’s public and private relevant actors with the primary aim of develop and improve quality system management in social field.

Equal: part of the European Union’s strategy for more and better jobs and for ensuring that no one is denied access to them. Irecoop Veneto is team leader of Elaicos project in the field of empowerment and innovation in social economy.
Irecoop is also partner of two other Equal Projects.
First is Nautilus, a project regarding new paths for job insertion guaranteed to disadvantaged people. Second is Passso, related to re-qualification of disadvantaged people to be inserted in SME market.

Global Grant: Irecoop plays a key role in the social enterprises creation field also being Intermediary Body in EU Global Grant, according to Council Regulation (EC) No. 1260/1999 of 21 June 1999.
Irecoop, as Intermediary Body, will open calls for tender, receive and finance projects submitted by social enterprises with the aim of improving social system and developing initiatives to help and support disadvantage people whose challenge is to create their own entrepreneurial future .
